i called out the guy who posted this for regurgitating state propaganda and i got a beautiful essay in return:

Propaganda is terrorizing your own people and brainwashing your own children until they’re willing to commit suicide for a cause they know nothing about. The video itself, out of context, sure it leaves things out. Even I’ll admit that.

However, you cannot dispute the fact that the Jewish people owned land in Israel/Palestine just as long as the Palestinians did (and before it was an official state of any kind). That the Israelis accepted borders that the Palestinians refused on several occasions including partitions that left Jerusalem in Arab hands. And finally, when all is said and done, they have done more with a tiny patch of sand in the desert than the Arabs have done with hundreds of times the space and enough oil money to construct countries twice as “glorious”.

Instead they are content destroying anything not Muslim. Because it’s not just Jews they’re after. Or, did you miss them burning Churches and killing Christians in Egypt after the recent regime change? Or maybe you missed Turkey, a largely Christian state, suddenly become Arab controlled with its guns pointed at Israel.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: “Death to Israel” - these are the people that so many are willing to defend as peaceful. That our own president was willing to shake hands with. The only reason they don’t care as much about the US or Europe as much is because Israel is still in the way. Although, if you paid any attention to France, Spain, England, etc. (places far more liberal than we are) you’d notice that the Islamic extremists aren’t exactly sitting pretty even for the people that defend them.

Not all Muslim’s are bad, I have friends and even relatives that are Muslim. But when we have a media and government today that will ignore the attacking of Israeli Consulates and attacks on Christians in Egypt. That will shake hands with the people that use that hand to supply our enemies (such as Iran) while threatening against actions from our ally Israel. Then, finally turn around to us and say that the term “Islamic Extremists” is not politically correct and present us with articles of attacks on Israeli civilians by showing us a suffering Palestinian! I ask you, where is the propaganda really? and should Israel just sit idly by as their enemies spread twisted truths through use of the “age of information”.

We need to think, seriously, about where we will stop defending the culture of others in order to preserve our own.
